Novus Clinic Goes High Tech

CLEVELAND, OHIO — January 4, 2008
Scott Weekley, the Chief Operations Officer of the Novus Clinic, upgraded its offices located in Tallmadge and Coventry Ohio from 10 mbps LAN’s to 100/1000 mbps WAN.  Included in this investment, is an integrated enterprise VoIP solution.
The Novus Clinic, founded in 1992, board certified ophthalmologist Todd L. Beyer, DO, and therapeutically licensed optometrist Jerry Sude, OD, united to create a unique medical alliance combining both ophthalmology and optometry in one extraordinary, state-of-the-art facility.   The organization, which now supports up to 15 servers, 200 desktops/thin clients and 12 doctors servicing those both locations, depends on their technology and ophthalmology / optometry -specific applications.
"This was huge undertaking, as we needed to keep our existing operations as we built in parallel a new infrastructure for each site, installing communication paths, new servers / clients, updating software,"Weekley explains. "I chose World Synergy Enterprises because they were the best suited to meet our growing needs and understood how our current network and propriety systems were behaving," he says. Following diligent focus groups with the participation of Glenn Smith (Strategic Account Manager) and Michael Mack (Network Engineer and Microsoft Consultant) developed a strategic project plan that addressed both near and long-term IT objectives for our clinic,” said Weekley.
